Description
The Gullwing table system results from extensive research by Gabriele and Oscar Buratti into the "complex simplicity" of curved lines and their rich impact on a space. This project showcases an expert combination of diverse materials and sculptural lines in the base, which interact dynamically with light and the surrounding environment, creating a captivating dance of shadows, reflections, and angles.
The table features bold, paired curved legs that resemble elegant wings, serving as the foundation for various configurations of the Gullwing. These elements can be used in compositions of three or four or as the central base for round versions. What sets the painted metal base apart is its unique fixing and adjusting mechanisms, allowing for the creation of tables with different shapes—rectangular, square, round, and oval—and sizes, ranging from very small to very large.
The bases, finished in a matte lacquer, are complemented by tabletops in wood, marble, porcelain stoneware, and exclusive clay and reconstructed marble finishes from Lema.
Material:
- Table Top: MDF with a 10/10 edge, 40 mm thickness, available in finishes such as blue lapislazzuli, green malachite, black Belgian blue, white Candoglia, wood veneer, or clay.
- Marble Top: 20 mm marble, offered in glossy or matte finish.
- Stoneware Top: 12 mm porcelain stoneware, glossy finish.
- Undertop: Melamine grey velvet, 19 mm thick, with an ABS edge of 10/10.
- Base: Extruded aluminum with an iron fastening plate (8 mm, black epoxy coating) and anti-slip black technopolymer skids.
- Painting: Micronized marble powders with water-based acrylic binders, applied manually. Variations in color and shade are natural, and the surface is scratch and chemical resistant.
