LAUREL DINING
Design
Giampiero Tagliaferri
Description
The Laurel dining chair, designed by Giampiero Tagliaferri, is inspired by mid-20th century aesthetics and features a refined, lightweight shape with a distinctly retro character. Its rounded shell elegantly embraces the seat and backrest, while slim metal legs further emphasize its airy silhouette.
Construction:
The seat is made of bent multilayer wood, precisely processed using CNC technology, and available in four versions:
-
Palisander Santos (dark brown tone, matte varnish),
-
Canaletto walnut (light brown tone, matte varnish),
-
Brushed ash (lacquered in the color of licorice),
-
or beech upholstered in natural leather (Aspen, Big Sur or Carmel).
The backrest has a metal substructure and is covered with fire-resistant polyurethane foam, while the seat is made of variable-density foam. Both parts are additionally covered with breathable fibers and hypoallergenic cotton fabric for comfort.
The armrests (if present) are made of bent aluminum, foam-padded and upholstered in matching fabric or leather. The rear decorative strip (martingale) is present only on the armchair, not on this dining version.
Covers:
The seat, backrest and armrest covers are completely removable in the fabric and leather versions (unless the shell is covered in leather – then it is not removable).
Base:
Metal structure with variable section tubes, available in glossy Black Coffee or black chrome finish, with black polyethylene protective sliders.
