TWIGGY LARGE ARMCHAIR 1

Designed by Rodolfo Dordoni, Twiggy is a family of seats that stands out for its ability to revolutionise living spaces with an unprecedented ideal of timeless beauty. The collection presents a variety of elements, each distinguished by Minotti's sophisticated sartorial taste. Initially conceived as a single armchair available in Small, Large, and Deep versions—with and without armrests—Twiggy features stitching that showcases the brand's manufacturing expertise, merging sculptural aesthetics with exceptional comfort.

In addition to the armchair, the range includes benches, couches, a chaise-longue, and a dormeuse, allowing for elegant individual elements that can be freely integrated into the living room. This creates a modular system that can be effortlessly customized to suit changing needs. A new aggregative language emerges, free from rigid configurations, capable of adapting to evolving requirements. Twiggy’s seating elements boast rigorous geometric shapes while offering enveloping comfort, covered in leather, nubuck, or fabric, and enhanced with refined stitching.

One of the unique features of these seats is the curved, dynamic design of the base, made of brushed semi-polished aluminium or aluminium finished in a Black Coffee colour with polished varnish. This detail contributes to making the Twiggy collection distinctive, redefining the concept of style.

Structure: The seat is constructed from plywood, layered with variable-density high-resilience polyurethane foam. It is encased in breathable heat-bonded quilted fibre laminated to hypoallergenic white cotton fabric for added softness. Inside the quilt, a bag padded with siliconised microfibre—made from certified 100% recycled PET—conforms entirely to the structure, providing an exceptionally soft feel. All materials used in the quilting process are hypoallergenic. The armrest and backrest structures are similarly covered in high-resilience, variable-density polyurethane foam and encased in breathable quilted fibre.

Cushion Plus: The backrest cushion features an integrated headrest that can also serve as a lumbar support. This cushion is made of quilted breathable heat-bonded fibre laminated to hypoallergenic cotton fabric, filled with siliconised microfibre padding. The headrest/lumbar cushion is crafted from variable-density, high-resilience polyurethane foam and is also covered with breathable, heat-bonded fibre.

Covers: The upholstery for the structure and cushions, available in either fabric or leather, is completely removable.

Bases: The bases consist of semi-curved blades made from heavy-duty aluminium, 8 mm thick, available in either brushed semi-polished with a textured effect or varnished polished anti-fingerprint in Black Coffee colour. Protective polyethylene glides, in pewter or black coffee to match the finish, ensure durability and prevent scratching. The “brushed semi-polished with textured effect” finish, developed by Minotti Studio, is achieved through an exclusive hand-finishing process that highlights the unique texture of the brushed aluminium, adding natural nuances that make each piece one of a kind.
