TWIGGY LARGE ARMCHAIR 2

Named after the city of trees, Sendai is a line of furnishings that includes a small sofa, an armchair, a lounge armchair, and dining and lounge little armchairs. The elegant, polished legs, resembling slender trunks, are crafted from Canaletto walnut solid wood stained Light Brown or Licorice lacquered ash. These legs elevate the enveloping upholstered bodies, creating a soft rhythm of vertical lines.

The collection features the option for the armchair, dining little armchair, and lounge armchair to be available in a 360° swivel version with a return mechanism. This version has a base in polished Bronze-coloured varnished metal, with spokes sheathed in solid ash with an open-pore Licorice-coloured lacquer or in solid Canaletto walnut with a Light Brown stain. This design makes the Sendai seats particularly comfortable for both residential and hospitality environments.

The compact and well-proportioned silhouette of the seats and small sofa introduces a new way of utilizing dining spaces. This innovative approach creates a hybrid situation, allowing for dining on a large table while guests can socialize around a lounge table, essentially forming a living room within a living room. This new layout fosters a more intimate atmosphere and opens up fresh visual and proportional horizons in both homes and hospitality venues.

In 2023, the elegant and airy Sendai family expands with the addition of a new enveloping sofa, a comfortable swivel armchair with armrests, and a footstool. The design of the armchair, featuring an upholstered frame resting on a 360° swivel base with a return mechanism, is intended to provide a larger seat. Its comfort is enhanced by a higher backrest and the inclusion of armrests, ensuring a satisfying relaxation experience.

Structure: The frame is made of metal coated in fire-resistant polyurethane foam and covered with a coupled breathable and hypoallergenic fibre. A plywood platform with an additional insert in temperature-sensitive variable-density material is covered on the upper side with breathable cotton fabric bearing the Minotti logo.

Cushions: The seat cushion consists of high-resilience, variable-density polyurethane foam encased in breathable heat-bonded fibre laminated to white hypoallergenic cotton fabric.

Swivel Version: The base is made of metal, varnished in a polished Bronze colour, with spokes that are 12 mm thick, available in solid ash with an open-pore Licorice colour lacquer finish or in solid Canaletto walnut stained Light Brown, with a matte polyester lacquer finish. The design includes black protective felt slides or black polyethylene glides.

Covers: Upholstery for both cushions and the frame is completely removable in all versions, whether in fabric or leather.

Fixed Version: The load-bearing structure is available in solid ash with an open-pore Licorice colour lacquer finish or in solid Canaletto walnut stained Light Brown, finished with matte polyester lacquer and kiln-dried. The construction is crafted on CNC machines and assembled with dowel joinery and glue, also equipped with black protective felt slides or black polyethylene glides.
