Description
Podium is a sculptural pedestal that brings a refined gallery-like atmosphere into an interior. It simultaneously acts as both a plinth and an architectural element, providing a place where objects of special significance can be highlighted and further emphasized. Inspired by the raw clarity of brutalism and the ornamental language of facades, the hand-carved reliefs capture and diffuse light, creating shifting shadows that change throughout the day. In this dialogue with time, the Podium itself becomes a work of art. It is crafted from natural limestone, a material that has formed over millions of years, which is why each piece carries a unique story woven into its layered structure. Smooth surfaces meet hand-carved reliefs, creating a harmony between stillness and movement. Subtle variations in tone and texture, as well as small natural imperfections, emphasize its organic origin, while the surface in a gentle sandy hue gives depth and warmth to the sculptural form. Podium can be used as a pedestal for displaying objects, an accent or side table, or as a decorative sculptural element. Thanks to its expressive, architectural form, it gives height and presence to a space while maintaining restrained elegance. Combined with a smaller version of Podium, it allows for the creation of a layered composition of different heights and surfaces, inspired by the rhythm of architecture.
The limestone version is also suitable for outdoor use.
