Description
The Horizonte sofa is a modular seating system designed by Marcio Kogan / studio mk27, which combines architectural rigor with luxurious comfort. It is characterized by a “floating” appearance thanks to the raised base – just 7 cm above the floor – made of matte black lacquered metal, which creates the impression of levitation.
The upholstered elements – seats, backrests and armrests – take the form of large, soft cushions, with pronounced proportions and high comfort, without losing their precise form. The seat consists of layers of polyurethane foam of different densities and steel pocket springs, which provide shape memory and optimal weight distribution. The backrests are filled with silicone microfibers arranged in channels for durability and comfort.
The base can be fully upholstered in fabric, leather or a combination of both, with carefully executed seams – a zipper for fabric and a fold-over hem for leather, inspired by high fashion.
The Horizonte sofa allows for numerous configurations, including integrated coffee tables and extended bases that further increase functionality. The covers of all elements are completely removable, which facilitates maintenance and transport. The sofa represents a combination of simple form and sophisticated design with an emphasis on comfort and modularity.
