Description
Eero Saarinen vowed to address the "ugly, confusing, unrestful world" he observed underneath chairs and tables—the so-called "slum of legs." A five-year design investigation led him to the revolutionary Pedestal Collection, introduced in 1958. Eero Saarinen's pedestal collection includes dining, coffee, and side tables. The Knoll logo is located on the underside of the base. A nameplate with the KnollStudio logo and the signature of Eero Saarinen is also located on the underside of the top or on the top support plate.
Material:
Top: Bevel-edged satin laminate, lacquer, acrylic stone, marble, or veneer. Marble coated with transparent polyester to prevent stains. Acrylic Stone: made from aluminium hydroxide, acrylic resin, and natural pigments for strength, cleanliness, water resistance, and color stability. Base: Original Saarinen design; heavy molded cast aluminum with Rilsan protection on black and white bases.
FINISHES:
Tables available in white laminate, coated marble in various colors, veneer, and acrylic stone (for outdoor use). Base finish in black or white. Height may vary by 1 cm depending on the top material.
