GRANDMOTHER VASE BIG
Design

Description
Named after the Japanese word “Bakku,” meaning “bag,” this vase features a distinctive, fluid form reminiscent of a softly collapsed sack. Each vase celebrates the beauty of imperfection, embracing natural curves and subtle variations that bring artistic elegance to the space.
Bakku vases are made using the traditional hand-blown glass technique. The process begins by heating the glass to a temperature of 1,500 °C, after which the molten glass is carefully shaped in a specially made mold. Air is then gently blown into the glass, forming the vase's characteristic silhouette.
After being removed from the mold, the vase undergoes a precise tempering process, and the top edge is cut and polished to achieve a high level of finish. Finally, the surface is spray-painted.
