Description
The Bézier sofa goes far beyond the traditional concept of seating – it is a system of organic, modular elements that can be infinitely combined and adapted to the space. Designed by Studio MK27, under the direction of Marci Kogan, Bézier uses irregular volumes and fluid shapes to shape space and create exceptional comfort.
The curved elements are inspired by Bézier parameters, known from computer graphics, and each seam precisely follows the lines of the structure. Layered filling of polyurethane foam of different densities ensures even comfort, while a longitudinal lumbar cushion along the backrest provides additional support and aesthetic value.
With its generous dimensions and free forms, Bézier transforms the sofa into an island meeting space – for both homes and public interiors – combining emotion and functionality in the spirit of Brazilian modernism.
Structure:
Made of veneered plywood, covered with high-elasticity polyurethane foam of varying density. It is covered with a breathable, thermally bonded polyester lining laminated with a hypoallergenic white cotton fabric. The backrests are fixed to the base using a quick-release system, while in the Paolina the backrest is fixed using pins and levers. For easier transport and removal of the upholstery, the backrests can be detached.
Pillows:
The lumbar cushion is made of variable density polyurethane foam, covered with a breathable fibrous lining laminated with elastic white fabric. The backrest cushions are filled with goose feathers, certified according to Assopium Gold Label standards. The cushion measures 65x60 cm and additionally contains a polyurethane foam insert.
Upholstery:
Completely removable, available in fabric and leather.
Legs:
Made of metal tubes, lacquered in a matte dark brown color, with sliding elements in SEBS material. The stools and Paola's armchair additionally have a sheet metal base in the same color.
