Description
The Muecke Wood Side Chair is a chair made of cylindrical wooden slats, whose repeating rhythm of simple forms transforms into a subtle sculptural presence. Its structure celebrates the natural beauty of wood, including the visible grain finish, which gives a sense of honesty and raw elegance.
Designer Jonathan Muecke approaches furniture as a sculpture, seeking a way to express the internal logic of the material. Each slat is carefully curved and connected using a unique method – a floating tenon joint – where the elements meet and intertwine in perfect balance.
