Description
The One console is an unexpected, unique and in a way “imperfect” architectural element that evokes prehistoric dolmens, created by stacking irregular stones in a seemingly random and unstable manner. It is as if the elements that make up the console were not meant to be together, but rather originally moved out of their original positions, thus giving life to a contemporary and recognizable piece of furniture with a striking surface and unusual bases. The barely visible opening between the curved modules that make up the base allows for a play of light that emphasizes the different profiles of the console’s supporting columns. The legs are very close to each other, so much so that from certain angles the distance is almost imperceptible; this creates a visual instability and a surprisingly dynamic impression. At the same time, the mutual relationship of the legs gives the console, and thus the space in which it is located, a certain directionality. These unusual features give the product a special layering, making it unique and unexpected.
