PADIGLION TABLES
Design
Alain Gilles
Description
Padiglioni, designed by Alain Gilles , is inspired by the iconic Barcelona Pavilion by architect Mies van der Rohe . The table's central element is its base, composed of three asymmetrical elements, each with a specific shape and placed seemingly at random, to give the composition a visual dynamism. It is precisely because of this asymmetry that the table changes its appearance depending on the angle of observation, revealing new relationships of volume and balance with each visit. The base represents a strong sculptural accent, further highlighted by the linear plate with a tapered edge, which with its pure shape creates a contrast with the legs and rounds off the entire composition. Padiglioni is a story of carefully achieved balances and contrasts and a superb combination of creative vision and manufacturing precision.
