In Japanese, "sunao" means sincerity. It's a word that carries much more than just truthfulness; it embodies the spirit of living with clarity, humility, and respect for the natural world. The Sunao, Medio vase reflects this philosophy with its smooth ceramic form and serene presence.
The inspiration comes from a dialogue between nature and craft. Designed to support rather than overpower its contents, the vase features a calm and uninterrupted surface, finished in Chocolate Brown – a deep and soothing color inspired by earth and cocoa beans.
Each piece is hand-painted, bearing subtle variations that make it unique, reflecting the Japanese belief that beauty is found in distinctiveness and unobtrusive details. Just as no two leaves, branches, or waves are exactly alike, each Sunao vase carries its own subtle character.
