Description
The Wabi Glass Vase is inspired by the Wabi-Sabi aesthetic, a Japanese concept that celebrates the beauty of imperfection and incompleteness. Each vase in this collection reflects this philosophy through organic, irregular shapes that give it a distinct character and authenticity.
Wabi vases are made with a high level of precision from hand-blown glass. The glass is first heated to a temperature of 1500 °C, after which it is placed in a specially made mold. Air is carefully blown into the molten glass, allowing it to expand and take on the distinctive Wabi shape. After being removed from the mold, the vase undergoes a kiln tempering process, and then the opening is precisely cut and polished. Finally, the surface is spray-painted in the characteristic Smoked Forest shade, which emphasizes the natural and earthy character of the product. Due to the handmade nature, each vase is unique, with slight variations and tiny air bubbles that further emphasize its individuality.
