The Sumo Vase celebrates the form of the human body, inspired by the strength and volume of the Japanese sport of sumo. Its rounded, accentuated proportions rest on narrow, prominent legs, creating an expressive and sculptural impression. This vase is designed as a stand-alone art object that challenges the traditional perception of vase form. It is hand-glazed, which allows for subtle variations in color.
