Description
This collection was created as an homage to the legendary art series Homage to the Square by Josef Albers, one of the most important representatives of Bauhaus and a pioneer in the research of color perception. Through ceramics, Mutina reinterprets his fascination with the relationships between shades, geometry, and optical effects. The collection functions almost like an art installation; colors visually change depending on the light, surrounding tones, and the observer's perspective.
The characteristic square modules and minimalist patterns (Dash and Dot) allow for the arrangement of surfaces that appear calm and strictly geometric, yet at the same time highly emotional and atmospheric. The palette includes sophisticated tones such as Sea, Evergreen, Chocolate, Citron, and Peach, creating a space that feels almost painterly. The collection is not just ceramics but an exploration of perception, or how color can alter the sense of depth, volume, and space.
