Description
Inspired by the serene nature of islands, the Island rug evokes a sense of calm with its unique blend of textures. The base is made of low-cut threads that create a smooth base. Above this are organic, higher sections that rise like islands, adding a rich tactile dimension to the surface. These raised segments, with their soft and irregular contours, mimic the natural shapes of land masses. The interplay of the low base and the organic raised sections invites exploration, offering a visual and sensory journey.
Iceland is made from a luxurious blend of wool and natural silk in a single high-quality yarn. The natural silk has a beautiful sheen and exceptional softness. The longer tufts are hand-trimmed to further enhance the carpet's fluffiness. The combination with a very low and firm tufting technique makes the design more playful.
